New updates - edit multiple objects
13.12.2020

New updates
03.12.2020
On Thursday 03.12.2020, RigelMap was updated with new features and improvements.
Areal / polygon OFFSET
is a new function that solves the challenges of being able to measure points where the GPS signals are poor, e.g. next to buildings or other objects.
By measuring two temporary points pointing in the direction you want a new point, and then measuring the distance from the last temporary point to the new point (eg near a wall)
the function will create a new point in the area.
Learn more about using this feature HERE.
is a new function that quickly and easily allows you to save image documentation with positioning in RigelMap, without having to create your own points. Look for the camera button in the upper right.

There are also new improvements and features in the Desktop version of RigelMap. The biggest changes have taken place in the menu on the left where you select and activate different groups and layers.
This menu has now been given a new interface where you can now both move and sort layers as you wish (by dragging them with the mouse pointer), as well as give the layers new names (available by right-clicking).
New server and new features
08.11.2020
On Sunday 08.11.2020, RigelMap was upgraded and moved to new servers. We have done this to ensure better and more stable deliveries.
You as users should not have to do anything and will be able to use the solution as normal. Should anyone experience
problems, we ask these users to restart the RigelMap app and log on / off. Help is as usual available at support@geonord.no or
tel. 78 43 58 48.
Among the new features are offline temporary storage of data.
RigelMap will now store data during surveys on your device, and remove it from the device when data is stored in the cloud.
This is to ensure that in the event of unsuccessful storage of data, either due to lack of internet connection or for other reasons, one will be able to upload the data at a later time. When you have unsaved
data in one of your projects you will be asked to save this when you open the project.
It is worth noting that you must still have access to the Internet to use RigelMap as well as get corrections from CPOS. This feature does not allow you to work offline
but is an extra certainty if something should happen during the actual survey.
It is now also possible to import LandXML
data to RigelMap. This requires activation of a plugin on your projects. Contact us at GeoNord if this is interesting.
New updates

area (m²) will now also be displayed.

the last used username / e-mail address will be remembered and completed.
Splitting lines
now also works with 3D lines (lines with height).
When protruding
the height will now be displayed with a minus when the position is below the launching point.
New updates
27.09.2020
On Sunday 27.09.2020, RigelMap was updated with new features and improvements. One of the improvements is that running reports and printing will now go faster. More detailed information about points, lines,
errors will also now appear on its own pages.
It is noted that if the reports contain background maps from external sources (eg Norway maps), we cannot guarantee that reporting will be fast in all cases. At times, these can be external
sources are slow or inaccessible, and then, among other things, printing will be slower. Unfortunately, this is not something we can do anything about.
Reporting and printing features are now also available in base projects.
