List of changes and improvements:

New asphalt paver module

  • Asphalt Paver module
  • Handling the asphalt paver allows collecting data from two GNSS receivers simultaneously. This enables users to track real-time information about the poured asphalt surface, the tilt angle of the paver, and the length of its arms. Additionally, the application allows for the automatic registration of the newly created surface in the form of a polygon on the map. This solution eliminates the need for manual measurements after completing the work, significantly streamlining the process. During measurements, user can specify the distance for collecting vertices. The application detects a drop in GNSS signal accuracy and interrupts the data collection process; the signal accuracy threshold is configurable by the user.

    Improved Line Staking Process

  • Improved Line Staking Process
  • Line staking now includes highlighting the currently designated segment. Additionally, the map displays information about the distance from the user to the first and last vertex of the designated segment. In situations where the user is outside the object in a way that prevents interpolation of their position onto the object segment at a right angle, the beginning and end of the line will be enhanced with pink guide lines. In such cases, the distance to these guide lines is displayed.

    Object Height Modification

  • Object Height Modification
  • The mechanism known from the desktop version has been implemented in the mobile version. Users can activate the height modification tool by long-pressing on a selected object. This tool allows changing the current object height, allowing adjustment up or down based on user-defined values.

    Creating Lines from Points

  • Creating Lines from Points
  • The tool existing in the desktop version has been implemented in the mobile version. To use this tool, long-press on a selected object to bring up the menu, then choose the 'Create Line' option. Adding new line vertices can be done in various ways: by indicating positions on the map and using the 'Add' button in the information panel, using coordinates of existing point objects with the 'Add to Line' option in the menu, or utilizing the current user position.

Extended Project Creation to New Countries

  • Extended Project Creation to New Countries
  • This allows the creation of projects in the following projections:

    • For Finland:
      • ESTR89/TM35FIN,
      • ESTR89/UTM zone 34N,
      • ESTR89/UTM zone 36

    • For Sweden:
      • SWEREF99 TM,
If these new systems are not available in your client version, please contact your local RigelMap distributor to add these countries to your RigelMap license.

    Improved 'Road Reference' Plugin

  • Improved 'Road Reference' Plugin
  • With the addition of the 'Search Radius' feature, the update allows users to adjust the range of road reference searches by narrowing or expanding the search radius. This new feature is particularly useful for linear road references ('from - to' range). Users can adjust the search range values, making it possible to find references to roads that were previously inaccessible.

    WMS Layer Identification Feature

  • WMS Layer Identification Feature
  • A feature previously available in the desktop version has now been enabled in the mobile version of the application. With this feature, clicking on the map in the mobile application provides detailed information for user-added WMS layers. This may include data such as plot numbers, connection information, and other details related to the added WMS layers.

Optimized Process for Saving Large Polygonal Objects

  • Optimized Process for Saving Large Polygonal Objects
  • Now, object saving occurs immediately, and road reference calculation is performed in the background. Users receive process status information in the attribute table and object information tab, with indications such as: calculated data, 'calculating,' 'error during calculation.' This change significantly improves the user experience by eliminating delays in object saving associated with waiting for road reference calculation results from the NVDB database.

    Other Changes and Improvements

  • Other Changes and Improvements:
    • Expanded LandXML file import function to support 3D profiles.
    • Pink guide layers are now collapsed by default, and the color of the group they belong to is highlighted in pink for better visibility.
    • The mobile application has been enhanced by adding support for Hybrid GNSS in CHCNAV I73/I73+ antennas, providing better precision in urban areas.
    • In projects related to NVDB contracts, the ability to search for contracts by name has been introduced.
    • Sped up the process of generating photo reports.
    • Introduced the function to display photos in the photo browser for GML layers containing photos, such as "skråfoto."
